Happy New Year!

Sun sets on 2009 eve,
We bid adieu to the past year and take leave,
However the sky still seems bright,
Is it due to Firecrackers sparkling illuminating light,
Or due to the hopes and sparks in my heart,
Which the New Year could perhaps impart.

As the Sun dawns in the New Year,
I oath to follow crazy resolutions,
Countless promises , hopes & thoughts...
This new year..I wish.. will not get lost...

I wait for the first news paper of the New Year,
Delve into horoscopes curious to find what's in store for the future,
Will my career plummet or soar,
Will my heart be rich with love or still suffer,
Are the stars kind enough to shower,
Their utmost mercy on me this New Year!

Lots of lessons learned in the past year,
Yet the New Year will again be a teacher,
Life is a basket of surprise,
You never know what springs up altogether,
Its the anticipation of what's in store,
Which makes the New Year mysterious ,merrier and better each year!
