Painted White

Days in the rain,
Windy and gusty,
Lone by the river,
She stood still...

Awaiting, Sighing..
Teary Eyed...
She looked around
For her holding ground....

Where art he,
I must wait and see.
Till I die,
In this very soil...

Married she was,
But unmarried she remained,
A Million tears
Her 'Sole' Soul she feared....

Will he be back,
Or would she be painted white,
Trains passing by,
Her dupatta flying high....

Should I die , Should i not,
I love him, We have tied a knot
Her heavy breath tore the silence,
Countless memories filled in a second,

His death is her victory
Her life is his present,
He is never to return,
But galiantly she will shoulder
His seeds she will water,
Into another brave soldier...

Is she?

The smiling sun,
The toothless fairy,
The talking tree,
Was her magical world indeed

Tom and Jerry,
Dexter and DeeDee,
Would come alive
With her innocent smile

A time of innocence,
Crystal clear her conscience,
Life was free,
Happy was she

The setting sun,
Now stares and glares,
The fairy smiles,
Is it a disguise?
The talking tree,
Seems to lie

Her own self is now spotted,
Her mind is now knotted
Tricks she taught herself,
They ain’t magical anymore

She lost her innocence,
Lost her self,
She rose very high,
Up alone there, she cries....

She turns away,
Scared all the way,
All she wants is love,
To be loved and to love...
