My TV and radio beeped aloud,
“Snow Warning”, it vowed
“Travel Only During Emergency”,
“Strange” I cried,
“Why am I then so excited”!
When the whole world seems slighted!
Being from a tropical country,
Where snow, ice and hail is rarity,
The excitement was natural and growing day by day,
After all, it was my first chance to play,
Soon, my handsome snow man I would proudly display.
Down from heaven,
The snowflakes descended,
They seemed so pure, beautiful, and white,
Like an angel with glowing light
Carrying a kiss from the Divine,
For mankind.
I jumped into the snow,
Making snowballs and throwing it here and there,
It was like fluffy powder,
So cold, bright and yet like a stranger,
Wonder if God is trying to use snow as a messenger?
Asking us to change and to show full dedication,
To be as pure and beautiful as his wonderful creation.
Soon days passed,
And the snow melted,
And so did my handsome snow man,
The snow will soon disappear
But I know it will arrive soon next year!
Carrying God’s wonderful message as a reminder!
